In January we had to resume remote working with families. In addition to supporting 45 families through emails and phone calls, we have also:
updated our social media daily, with resources, ideas and recommendations
started work on a new "resources hub" for our website
delivered resources and loaned equipment
set up a weekly "advice line" so all families can access specialist autism advice
run our Empowering Parents Course on-line
hosted monthly Zooms for the siblings
Behind the scenes we are working with our trustees on a 3 year growth plan. The demand for our service continues to increase. We recognise that we need to grow in order to better meet the needs of our local autism community.
Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we are surviving and feel optimistic about the future of Mustard Seed and we are looking forward to welcoming back families and volunteers in not too distant future, hopefully!
