Jen Daplyn was one of Mustard Seed's first trustees for it's pilot year in 2011, before Mustard Seed went on to become a registered charity in July 2012. She held the role of Treasurer for just under 8 years, until she resigned from the Board in May this year.
Jen worked as an accountant for the NHS before her children were born. When her friend, Sarah Clements, along with Francis Bland, set up Mustard Seed, Jen lent her skills to the charity. As the charity grew, so did the number of voluntary hours that Jen gave to help us ensure that our finances were properly managed. More recently she also turned her hands to redesigning our website!
Now her children are older, Jen has decided to set up her own accountancy practice, RockSalt, with the aim of making good financial management accessible to other non-profits and small businesses. Fortunately she still remains closely linked with Mustard Seed as a friend and advisor and Mustard Seed Autism Trust became one of her first clients.
