AUTISM IN THE CLASSROOM
Friday 16th November 2018
12.15 - 2.30pm at Frimhurst Family House
This workshop is aimed at primary school staff who want to know more about autism and how it affects the child's learning and behaviour, language and communication and associated social difficulties. Strategies are based on current research.
AUTISM AND ANXIETY
Friday 8th March 2019
12.15 - 2.30pm at Frimhurst Family House
This workshop is aimed at providing a greater understanding of anxiety and the impact it has on functioning within the classroom. Strategies and practical ideas will be provided to help manage behaviour.
AUTISM AND SENSORY PROCESSING DISORDER
Friday 14th June 2019
12.15 - 2.30pm at Frimhurst Family House
This workshop will cover the sensory processing difficulties related to children with Autism and ADHD. It will provide an understanding of sensory processing and practical strategies for managing needs in the classroom.
BOOKING INFORMATION
All training is run by a specialist teacher and occupational therapist, with experience of working in mainstream, specialist schools and the NHS.
Time: 12.15 - 2.30pm
Venue: Frimhurst Family House, Frimley Green, GU16 6NU
Refreshments: Tea and coffee will be provided. Please feel free to bring your own lunch!
Costs: £50 per workshop or £130 if attending all 3 workshops.
